Dr. Yvonne Lee Wilson served the Far South Community in a myriad of ways, including as a long-time staff member of Phalanx Family Services. Dr. Wilson served as Vice Chair of the Far South CAC since its inception in 2014. A life coach and author, Dr. Wilson served over 25 years as Senior Pastor at Body of Christ Deliverance Ministries.

Dr. Wilson was a beloved member of the CPS community, working with the CPS Chicago Connected initiative to help families get internet access for remote learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. She served as the chair if the Education Committee for the Far South Quality of Life grant and helped to promote, recruit, and train for Corliss High School's Parent University.

Dr. Wilson was married for over 34 years. She and her husband leave behind 2 daughters, 8 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. We invite you to join us in honoring Dr. Wilson's legacy by supporting a scholarship in her memory.

To honor the Legacy of Dr. Wilson and her work with the Far South Community Action Council (CAC), this scholarship will be offered to a Chicago Public Schools high school senior who demonstrates exemplary community service and resides in the far south side region of Chicago.
