The Langston Wesley, Morgan Park High School Memorial Scholarship is awarded for outstanding academic achievement to a senior at Morgan Park High School.
Langston Wesley graduated as the first black male valedictorian in the 90-year history of Morgan Park High School in 2006. He earned an International Baccalaureate Diploma and was the valedictorian of Keller Gifted Magnet Grammar School. He went on to study at Stanford University, where he majored in art history. Langston believed in the excellence of education coupled with the expression of self through different, art forms, including writing, visual arts, and music.

This annual scholarship will support a Morgan Park High School Graduating Senior in the top 10% of the graduating class. Preference is given to graduates with financial needs and college out-of-pocket costs. Ideal candidates will demonstrate a strong commitment to academics, community service, and be highly involved in artistic, athletic or other extracurricular endeavors.
